Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition is the world's largest exhibition devoted to Shakespeare and the London in which he lived and worked. Housed beneath the reconstructed Globe Theatre on London's Bankside, the exhibition explores the remarkable story of the Globe, and brings Shakespeare's world to life using a range of interactive displays and live demonstrations.
Visit the exciting and often dangerous world of Elizabethan London where in 1599, Bankside was the entertainment center of the capital packed with gambling dens, brothels, bear-baiting pits and theaters. Ordinary people flocked to see Shakespeare's plays and they laughed, cried, shouted abuse at the actors, ate and drank during the performances.
As a visitor to the Exhibition you'll discover how shows were produced in the theaters of Shakespeare's time, from writing and rehearsals to music, dance and performance. Learn about the traditional crafts and techniques used during the process of rebuilding the Globe and find out how special effects were produced in Shakespeare's time - from thunder and lightning to flying on stage and realistic blood and gore.
Listen to recordings from some of the most Shakespearean performances ever or join the cast and add your own voice to a scene recorded by Globe actors. Create your own Shakespearean phrases in the word jungle, watch a sword-fighting display and browse the costume collection, where you can find out about the extraordinary methods used in creating clothes 400 years ago.
A visit to the Exhibition includes a guided tour of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre where storytellers take you on a fascinating half-hour tour of the auditorium. Journey through time to Elizabethan London with their colourful tales of the 1599 theater experience as well as the reconstruction process of the 1990's and how the wooden 'o' works today as an imaginative and experimental theatrical space.

With this exclusive packaged hotel deal you can choose from the range of 'We Will Rock You' theatre tickets and choose your duration at our selection of London hotels. The Queen musical by Ben Elton and the band continues to rock the West End...
Everywhere, the kids watch the same movies, wear the same fashions and think the same thoughts. It's a safe, happy, Ga Ga world. Unless you're a rebel. Unless you want to Rock.
On Planet Mall all musical instruments are banned. The company computers generate the tunes and the kids download them. It is an age of boy bands and of girl bands. Of boy and girl bands with a couple of boys in them that look like girls anyway. Nothing is left to chance, hits are scheduled years in advance. But resistance is growing. Underneath the gleaming cities, down in the lower depths live the Bohemians. Rebels who believe that there was once a Golden Age when the kids formed their own bands and wrote their own songs. They call that time, The Rhapsody. Legend persists that somewhere on Planet Mall instruments still exist. Somewhere, the mighty axe of a great and hairy guitar god lies buried deep in rock. The Bohemians. Is the one who calls himself Galileo that man? But the Ga Ga Cops are also looking for Galileo and if they get him first they will surely drag him before the Killer Queen and consign him to oblivion across the Seven Seas of Rye. Who is Galileo? Where is the Hairy One's lost axe? Where is the place of living rock?

The Tour
THE TOWER OF LONDON ...private tour away from the crowds...
Following our coach drive past some of Londons most famous landmarks including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament we arrive at the Tower of London where we are met on the middle drawbridge by our very own Yeoman Warder. Leading us into this world heritage site before it opens to the public our Beefeater will take us on a private guided tour explaining the history behind this fortress of imprisonment and torture. We are also the first group to see the Crown Jewels before enjoying some free time to explore on our own. Why not visit Traitors Gate, the armouries or the Bloody Tower? And keep an eye out for the famous Ravens. Tradition has it that if the Ravens leave the Tower the monarch will fall!
CHANGING OF THE GUARD
Departing the Tower we head to The Mall to watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony as one of the Queens Foot Guard Household Regiments march from St. James Palace to Buckingham Palace to military music dressed in their world famous tunics and busbies.*
THAMES RIVER CRUISE & PUB LUNCH
Next we enjoy a short cruise on the River Thames as we enjoy excellent views of St. Pauls Cathedral and Shakespeares Globe before heading for a traditional pub lunch in Whitehall, close to Downing Street, the residence of the Prime Minister (food/drink not included). After lunch we have a photo stop at Westminster Abbey.
ST PAULS CATHEDRAL
The afternoon part of the tour begins with a visit to St Pauls Cathedral. We shall explore this masterpiece designed by Wren in 1673, highlights of the tour will include listening to the 1695 organ that Mendelssohn once played and visit the tombs of Nelson and Wellington. With your professional guide test the unique acoustics of the Whispering Gallery (not normally visited by tour groups). On Sundays when there is restricted viewing at the Cathedral there will be an opportunity to enter and enjoy one of the services.
AFTERNOON TEA AT HARRODS
Then we head through Knightsbridge to one of the worlds most famous stores - Harrods where we finish our day with tea and scones served inside a the Terrace Bar. Tea includes tea, scones, jam and clotted cream. Why not end you day with a bit of shopping at this amazing store.
*If the Changing of the Guard is not taking place you will still see Buckingham Palace and then visit the Horse Guards Parade

The Brighton SEA LIFE centre offers a fun and educational day out whatever the weather. With over 150 species and 57 displays, you will be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable day for the whole family! Watch in amazement as giant turtles and sharks glide above you in our underwater tunnel. Come and visit our Tropical Reef - Complete with a shark encircled wreck and breath taking tropical coral, you can make it your own adventure!
A show piece of Victorian splendor and as the oldest operating aquarium in the world is considered to also be the best!
Our fantastic new feature showcases eels, snakes and all things serpent-like from beneath the waves. Many are brightly coloured, others verge on the bizarre...and one or two are deadly!
In this feature you will see how creatures can evolve. The sea snakes are very close relatives to land snakes and still have to surface to breathe. It also shows how humans may have mistaken large moray eels for sea monsters!
One of the most beautiful serpents in the new feature is the Dragon Moray. Its striking colours and amazing features make it look like a thing of legend!
In addition to the Dragon Moray the new feature will also showcase the Snowflake, Zebra and Unicolour Snake Moray Eels.
"We have introduced cleaner shrimp to the tanks so that the customers can watch the moray eels being cleaned and even getting a dental inspection" said Alex Gerard SEA LIFE Curator.
Whilst the Moray Eels aren't venomous the same can't be said for the other of SEA LIFE's newest residents.
"The Banded Sea Snake is one of the most venomous snakes in the world. It has about 10x more venom than a rattlesnake!"
Serpents of the Sea will comprises five brand new tanks in a specially tailored arena designed to both mesmerise and menace.
It also seeks to show how important such creatures are to the broader ocean eco-system.
